My name is Maria, and I read a lot. This is my reading diary, where I share my thoughts, recommendations and feelings about the books that I’ve read and maybe you should be reading next.
Raised by feral readers
My childhood home is a wierd house with an actual tower, and it’s filled with bookshelves. Both of my parents are feral readers, and I was raised with a book in my hands. It started with bedtime stories like Narnia and Bilbo, and when I was 10 I read Lord Of The Rings for the first time. The Belgaradad, Harry Potter, Twilight and The Hunger Games was my next book obsessions and fast forward today, I love spending my free time deep diving into epic adventures.

This one of my favourite series of all time. The best magic system I’ve ever read, amazing story and world building.
Fourth Wing
THE EMPERYAN SERIES
One of the first romantasy novels I’ve read. The action, the characters, the love story and the dragons got me hooked.
Blood over Bright Haven
STAND ALONE
A complex world, interesting magic system and complex characters.
The Golden Compass
HIS DARK MATERIALS
A huge favurite from my childhood, and I still love it. My cat is even named after Lyra.
Court of Mist and fury
ACOTAR
An other romantasy series I fell in love with. Especially the second and the third book has everything I want from a book. Love, found family, banter, high stakes, magic and a world I want to deep dive in.
Way of Kings
STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE
One of the longest but also best series I’ve ever read. An other amazing magic system (Brandon Sandersens brain is really something else), multiple characters POV, war, gods and everything else in between.
